Towards a performance practice of Computer Music

What is the role of the performer in electronic music? What can he/she contribute to a music practice that holds the ability to be "infinitely" precise? Can the computer become a musical instrument? What are its possibilities, and what are its limitations?
Through the implementation of compositions, instruments and the interpretation of existing repertoire, my research aims to find answers to these questions and to tackle other issues about performance practice applied to computer music such as the role (and validity) of the computer music performer, the importance of the visual aspect of music performance or the need to define a performance-oriented notation system for computer parts, hoping to contribute to the expansion of the scope of discussion and work within the field of computer music for composers, performers and researchers alike.
