Chonglian Yu is a composer, sound artist, and programmer who explores the boundaries of sonic language as a medium for sensory and artistic connection. His work focuses on computer music, multimedia installations and performances, extended reality, and digital gamification.

Yu earned his Bachelor's degree in classical composition from Boston University and completed a Master's in contemporary composition at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He further studied computer music at the Institute of Electronic Music and Acoustics (IEM) in Graz, Austria. His works have been featured at international festivals and venues mainly across Europe, such as ZKM (Karlsruhe), the Venice Biennale Musica, Ars Electronica (Linz), the Muziekgebouw (Amsterdam), and CYENS (Cyprus), among others.

Currently, Yu is a doctoral researcher affiliated with the Music, Thought, and Technology research cluster at the Orpheus Institute. His research focuses on speculative narratives of the cybernetic-augmented audience, prototyping experimental wearables.
