Harry Buckoke plays viola da gamba and lirone. A keen chamber musician, he is a member of Lux Musicae London, Dramma per Musica and Ensemble Augelletti also performing regularly and appears on recordings with Fieri Consort, Chelys and Fair Oriana. Harry also gives solo performances, past appearances include a Telemann concerto for the London Handel Society and a recital on the history of the viol at the Roman River festival. He has created music for political burlesque, performance art and dance.

Harry studied Viol with Paolo Pandolfo at Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. With a thesis on Hegel and the aesthetics of performance, Harry holds an MA in Aesthetics from NYU where he received their student performer award. His BA is in English Literature from the University of Cambridge where he held an instrumental award scholarship.
