Laura excels in repertoire from baroque to contemporary eras according to historical criteria of interpretation.
She recorded the 24 Caprices by Paganini on gut strings.

As first violin of the Alcan Quartet, she performed in Europe, Canada, the United States, China and Korea and recorded many albums including the complete Beethoven Quartets Cycle. She has also been a part of ensembles specializing in the interpretation of contemporary music. She now plays with Il Pomo d'Oro

She won the Special Jury Prize for her performance of the Sequenza VIII by Luciano Berio at the 44th International Competition Premio Paganini in Genoa.

She studied with the members of the Quartetto Italiano, the Amadeus Quartet, the Smetana Quartet, and she graduated at the Music-Akademie der Stadt Basel with Adelina Oprean. Her mentors have been Franco Gulli, Salvatore Accardo and Sigiswald Kuijken.
