This artistic research stems from the premise that musical creation does not occur in isolation. I examine how ownership, responsibility, and decision-making space take shape and shift within co-creative processes across three distinct contexts: posthumous realizations within the artistic legacy of Wim Henderickx, my personal compositional practice, and creation in community settings.

Through nine case studies and key working moments (rehearsals, try-outs, and performances), I document decision-making across score preparation, rehearsal, and performance: which decisions are made, which alternatives are explored, and how roles and responsibilities shift throughout the process.

The intended outcome is a relational framework that describes and explicates—without being prescriptive—how responsibility and accountability emerge in practice, particularly when source material is open, fragmentary, or ambiguous. The research output comprises artistic realizations and reflective publications, complemented by a practical template to support creators and performers navigating similar artistic trajectories.
