The research project proposes an innovative approach to overcome the conceptual and methodological barriers between dance and music, developing a compositional and pedagogical method that integrates body and sound. Inspired by the theories of Rudolf von Laban (Choreutics) and Hartmut Rosa (Resonance), the project envisions the performer’s body as a “resonance chamber” for sound, where movement is not merely visual but an integral part of sound perception and creation. By incorporating studies such as those by Godøy and Leman (Musical Gestures) and somatic practices like Frey Faust's The Axis Syllabus, the project explores how gestures can amplify and transform sound. Each musical instrument interacts uniquely with the performer’s body, generating specific visual and sonic resonances in a dynamic dialogue between body, instrument, and space.
