Pluralistic Dynamics of Creativity

This research explores collaborative music-making and iterative creative practices by developing methodologies that integrate improvisation, algorithmic processes, score writing, and transcription. It reconceptualizes musical works as provisional, evolving instances rather than fixed objects, emphasizing process over outcome. Through sustained collaboration with ensembles, the project investigates how diverse materials—pre-existing recordings, improvised fragments, or algorithmically generated structures—can be transformed and interwoven to create dynamically evolving musical forms. The study combines practice-based experimentation, computational tools, and theoretical reflection to map recursive creative networks and the dialectical interplay between creative musicians and systems. Outputs include a web-based platform documenting works, processes, and visual mappings, alongside public performances and lecture-performances. The project contributes to knowledge by proposing transmissible strategies for long-term, process-focused music-making, and offering conceptual and practical tools for understanding and engaging with music as an ongoing, collaborative, and generative practice.
